~some updates~

Hi there everyone,
Just to warn you guys, I won’t be posting anything on tumblr for the next week or so. I will be however posting all my WIPs and updates on my twitter account and instagram-user name for both is studio_ami so if you want to see what I am up to, please have a look there!!
My next projects will be a graduation present for my little sister (not a graduation bear or owl-but something totally different!) and a very unusual type of cupcake! Curious? If so, catch me on twitter/instagram!!
I’ll be posting the last of my Olympic ami when I’m back and also the photos of the many desserts I’ve made so far!

Hey everyone!

I feel like I haven’t seen my dashboard for ages!!! And I really missed tumblr during this time!! I hope everyone was entertained by my queue in the last 2 weeks!

~Olympic amigurumi~

As Olympic 2012 is coming closer, and especially since UK is hosting it this time, I thought I would make some Olympics ami to commemorate it! (and I have to say Im none too impressed by UK’s official mascots…)

So there are 4: one for Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland!

I wonder if you guys can guess what animals I made for each country?

Oh no, nothing so good..im away on placement at the moment and because it’s so faraway, I stay in the accommodation there and go home in the weekends

Really? I have no clue why…and I cant even do anything about it until next weekend because tumblr has been banned in my accommodation..

Oh wow! This person is really talented and she has some free pattern on her blog- her Clara the spotted jelly fish is ridiculously cute and so alike to the actual one from Princess jellyfish!!

Hey there! I have a crocheting help question. You know how when you make your amigurumi, you make it in one continuous shape - like for example, your unicorn the head flows into the neck and body, they're not sewn together. Can you show me like a video or a tutorial of how you would do that? Like make a head and then continue on to a body? Does that make sense? hahah

Are you making a unicorn? Um for the unicorn, the head and the body is made separately then sewn together

You make the head first and and then for the body, you start at the tail end and work up and when you are at the neck, you don’t close off the opening but leave it and then sewn the head on..

I’m so sorry I don’t know if I explained it very well…

And um, I would love to make a video but I really don’t like recording my voice cos it sounds so horrendous!!

Are you making your own pattern for the unicorn? I’ve searched online, there are a few unicorn patterns on the net if you want to take a look at them?

When you say about selling, do you meanthe pattern or do you mean that it would have to be mentioned that the item was made from a studio ami pattern?

Yeah please don’t sell the pattern, selling the finished ami is fine though!

You can mention the ami was made from a studio ami pattern but I don’t mind if you don’t!
