~A blog for all my cute handmade amigurumi~

  1. ~Amigurumi design contest: please vote for my design!~

Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been quiet for so long-work has been hectic!

Anyway amigurumi patterns are holding a design contest. The theme is to create “an animal at work”.

I have submitted my own design, his name is Ame and he is a Japanese candy craftsman! He practices amezaiku which is a traditional Japanese folk art of sculpting candy into a variety of shapes as animals and other characters

Ame enjoys his work very much and loves to set his stall during festivals during which he will wow his captivated audience with his candy craft!

It will really mean alot to me if you vote for him.

Thanks so much for your support <3

  7. ~Graduation presents~

It was my graduation a month ago and because many people I know will be parting ways with me when graduation comes I decided to make a graduation bear for each one of my close friends!

It was a lot of work and my wrists hurt very much the day before graduation! But I think it was worth it to see their smiling faces and genuine looks of surprise and delight!

I made 14 graduation bears in total-there are three missing from the photo because some I gave before I took a group photo of the bears and the last one is the light brown bear I made for myself! :)

I had a wonderful graduation and the day itself was very memorable!

  9. ~First day working!~
Hello everyone!
I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging much lately-just been busy enjoying my last moments of freedom before starting work TODAY!
I’m so nervous, my last few years at university has been all for this moment where I finally start working! My job is very busy and hectic so I think I will have even less time to crochet and blog than ever!
But I will be very happy if you guys can stick with me and support me still! I will do my best to crochet more cute amigurumi in my free time!

  11. ~Maneki neko pattern now FREE~

    Hello everyone!

I wrote a pattern to make some adorable maneki neko (lucky cats) a few months back. Because I needed some funding for my graduation trip, I charged a small fee for the pattern. But since I have now been to Japan and back and there were no sales for the pattern in these past months, I think it will be a nice gift to everyone if I now publish this pattern! :)

So here it is-you can download the pattern from my craftsy account for free now!

I hope everyone enjoys my pattern and have lots of fun crocheting!

What sized hook did you use for the pig pattern? (The smaller one)

    Hi there!

For the smaller pink pig I used a 5mm crochet hook and regular yarn whereas for the big white one, I used a 8mm crochet hook and chunky yarn

    Hope that helps!

  19. ~Graduation trip: Japan!~
Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven’t posted much in the last few weeks (been super busy spending time with all my friends before graduation!)
And now I won’t be posting anything for the next 2 week as I’m going on my graduation trip to Japan for 2 weeks!!! (I’m super excited as Japan has been my dream destination ever since I was small!)
I am super excited to visit the land where amigurumi came from as well as visiting all the shrines and temples and trying all the food!
I’m also super nervous as well as it would be the first time I am so far away from home for so long but I’m sure everything would be fine! :)
Anyway I’m off, everyone have a lovely two weeks! Hope its summer wherever you guys are!!
